At BabyJacks we aim to maintain a standard of service which we would wish to receive when we ourselves are customers. This is reflected in our terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making your purchase.
These are the Terms & Conditions of our agreement and apply to all purchases of goods by you from BabyJacks via our web site and you should read them carefully. These terms may vary from time to time and you should check them before making new purchases. The Terms and Conditions stated on this page govern all transactions, between BabyJacks and its customers, effected on or after 11 May 2005 until superseded by revisions posted here. Any contract between BabyJacks and its customers shall be governed by English law and all correspondence shall be conducted in the English language.
PRIVACY POLICY
BabyJacks will keep your personal details private and secure. We will not sell, or share your personal details with third-parties, except in so far as is strictly necessary to process your order (this may include clearance of payment, and delivery instructions to couriers)
We only make use of any telephone or e mail contact details in relation to your immediate order or enquiry, and will not use these for any subsequent unsolicited promotional or marketing activity.
TERMS OF BUSINESS
Orders
You can submit an order for goods to BabyJacks by completing the details on our order page and clicking the submit button. You can also place your order by telephone by calling 01562 741717.
Payment
All prices on this site are in UK pounds sterling and include VAT at the appropriate rate. Delivery is charged on a per parcel basis.
Methods of Payment
We are happy to accept cash, cheques backed by a cheque guarantee card, postal orders, and the following credit or debit cards, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Delta, VisaElectron, Switch, Solo, American Express and JCB.
All goods sold by BabyJacks remain the property of BabyJacks until full payment has been received. Goods will only be despatched once full payment has cleared.
Processing and Delivery
We will keep you informed of the progress of your order:
- On receipt of your order, we will confirm the details of the order with you, including stock availability, the total cost of your order, and advise you of the expected delivery timescale.
- We will also contact you when the goods are ready for despatch to arrange a delivery date most suitable to you. (Please note however, our standard delivery is not a guaranteed service).
- When ordering assembled furniture please check that access to your premises will accommodate delivery.
- When ordering heavy items please note delivery is to the door of the premises and not to a specified room.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure accuracy, prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. In the event that such changes occur we will advise you of this when confirming your order and offer you the option to withdraw your order or to select an alternative product. Prices quoted on confirmation of your order will be honored regardless of subsequent price movement before despatch.
We aim to fulfil orders from stock within seven working days. However, some larger items such as furniture and prams, may have a lead time from our suppliers of between four and six weeks. For reservation of such items a deposit of 25% of the total order value is required to secure the order.
In the event that we are unable to fulfil your order within the normal delivery period, we will contact you as soon as this is known and offer you the option to withdraw your order or to select an alternative product. Should an item be unavailable, we will contact you as soon as this is known and in these circumstances we reserve the right to cancel the order.
Despatch of Part Orders
BabyJacks will not normally despatch part orders. However, where an item is on extended delivery and this would result in undue delay to the despatch of a larger order, we may with your agreement and at no extra cost to you, forward a part order.
Right to Withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this agreement but this right ends seven days after the date we deliver the goods to you. Any amounts you have been charged will be repaid to you, excluding shipping charges within thirty days of the order or return of the goods which ever is the latter. However we may have delivered or despatched the goods you have ordered. In this circumstance, you may return the goods to us at your own expense. Any goods returned must be received by us unused and in its original saleable condition and in its original packaging. RETURNS POLICY
On Receipt of the Goods
If you are at all unhappy with the contents of your order on receipt, please contact us as soon as possible to allow us the opportunity to resolve the problem:
- All goods must be inspected by you upon receipt and any damage in transit or shortages must be notified to BabyJacks within 48 hours of receipt. No claims for damage in transit or shortages will be considered after this period.
- Where goods have been damaged in transit, we will arrange for collection and offer you the choice of a replacement or refund at no extra cost to you. In circumstances where the packaging is clearly damaged on arrival, it would be helpful to us in resolving any problem if, when signing to accept delivery, you could write ‘Box damaged’ on the delivery record.
- Where goods are found to be faulty on receipt, we will arrange for collection and offer you the choice of a replacement or refund at no extra cost to you.
- If you receive your order in good condition but you consider any item to be unsuitable, you may return it for a refund (with the exception of goods stated below) provided that you do so within 14 days of receipt and the item is returned unused and in its original saleable condition and in its original packaging. In these circumstances you will be responsible for meeting the full cost of the carriage to you and the return carriage. IMPORTANT We regret that we cannot offer refunds on mattresses, nappy products, nor assembled furniture unless faulty.
Failure within the Guarantee Period
Proof of purchase must be supplied before warranty repairs can be accepted.
Where goods fail during the manufacturers guarantee period, we will arrange for collection and, on inspection, if the fault is confirmed to be due to a manufacturing defect, we will arrange repair (or replacement if the goods cannot be repaired). If however, the fault is found to be due to normal wear and tear, misuse or accidental damage, we will provide a quote for rectifying the problem and you will be responsible for meeting the full cost of carriage charges.
Overseas Customers
All goods are sold with a statutory UK guarantee. Goods shipped overseas that require a repair under the terms of the guarantee may have to be returned to the UK. The cost of shipping such items to the UK (and return shipping) must be met by the customer.
Accidental Damage
For goods which sustain accidental damage whilst in day-to-day use we will be happy to obtain a quote for rectification of the problem. In these circumstances you will be responsible for meeting any carriage charges; it may be necessary to return the item to us for inspection to assess the extent of the problem.
MAIL ORDER CHARGES
Weekday delivery to addresses within the UK Mainland is charged at the following:
Small items up to 1 kilo will be sent by first class post at the appropriate cost according to the weight of the item
Large items over 1 kilo up to 20 kilos will be sent by courier from £5.00 per parcel
All charges will be confirmed before despatchExceptions: Customers requiring delivery to some UK postcode areas (mainly Highlands & Islands) may be charged an additional carriage fee. We will advise of any charges prior to despatch.
If necessary, Saturday delivery or delivery outside the UK Mainland can be arranged but will be charged at cost (we will advise you of the charge when we confirm your order).Shipping charges for roomsets – Shipping charges for all roomset items will be advised on receipt of order.Overseas customers – you will be notified of shipping charges within three working days of receiving your order. The cost of any local taxes must be met by the customer.
PRODUCT IMAGES
Whilst great care has been taken with the representation of products on this site, limitations of the processes involved in bringing the images to your screen mean that we are unable to guarantee that the colouring exactly matches that of the original products. If this is an important consideration in your choice of item please visit our shop to inspect the goods in person, or contact us for advice.
DESCRIPTIONS
To the best of our knowledge the product descriptions on this site are accurate and up-to-date, but due to product development, design and specification changes, these may vary from time to time. The images on our site are to assist with your selection and you may find slight variation in colour. All weights and measurements are approximate.
